Federal Incentives

USDA Rural Development Programs

As a rural county, Waller County qualifies for U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development programs. This includes guaranteed loan programs and possible grants for buildings which can then be leased at cost to the business.

SBA 504 and 7A Loans

Waller EDC can help you take advantage of Small Business Administration 504 and 7A loan guarantee programs by facilitating contact with Certified Development Companies and local lenders.

HUB Zone

The eastern side of Waller County is designated as a HUB Zone by the SBA until December of 2005. This results in contract preferences for historically-underutilized businesses.

Economic Development Administration

We help reduce overall infrastructure development costs by working with the Economic Development Administration to provide the utility infrastructure needs projected by Waller’s Capital Improvement Plan.
