Local Incentives

Freeport Tax Exemption

Waller ISD and the City of Waller offer the Freeport tax exemption on goods manufactured or assembled and shipped out of Texas within 175 days of acquisition. The Freeport Tax Exemption applies to all qualifying property within the taxing entity jurisdiction.

Property Tax Abatements

Waller County considers property tax abatements on a case-by-case basis.
The maximum term is 8 years. Minimum investment required is currently $500,000. Information is available from:

Grants

As a 4A Development Corporation, WEDC is authorized to expend funds on behalf of certain types of industries that create primary jobs that result in the sales of products on a regional, national, or international basis. The basic industries that WEDC can promote are: manufacturing and industrial facilities, distribution centers, and warehouse facilities.

Waller EDC will work with targeted industries and local companies to minimize infrastructure costs of development and expansion.
