Mike
Kucera of Master Pumps describes new facility in Waller
May 18, 2004

Mike Kucera of Master Pumps & Equipment was the speaker for
the May 18 networking breakfast sponsored by the Waller Economic
Development Corporation.
Kucera is the branch manager of the new facility in Waller that
has been relocated from northwest Houston. He said that the company
was leasing in Houston and wanted to build their own facility. They
had considered various places within Harris County, but decided
to locate in the new Waller Business Park on Park 290 Drive. They
saw the main advantages to locating in Waller to be easier building
permitting and easy commuting.
Kucera described the company as having a “can-do” spirit,
having done all the construction themselves other than portions
of the electrical work. The new Waller facility consists of 14,000
square feet.
Master Pumps & Equipment was established in Odessa, but is
now headquartered in Grapevine in the DFW metroplex. The Waller
facility is one of 25 offices around the southwestern U.S. It is
an employee-owned company. Their warehouse holds one of the largest
selections of pumps in the Southwest, and they repair all types
and brands of pumps as well. Fabrication for custom packaging can
be provided as needed. In addition to pump products, Master supplies
a wide variety of engines, motors, and generator sets. More information
can be found at the websites: www.masterpumps.com and www.masterpowersystems.com
We welcome Master Pumps & Equipment to the Waller community
and look forward to a great partnership with them.
The next WEDC networking breakfast will be on June 15 at 7:30
